Downer awarded maintenance contract with ConocoPhillips
Downer announced today it had been awarded the major maintenance services contract with ConocoPhillips at its Darwin Liquefied Natural Gas (DLNG) plant.
The contract, awarded to a Downer subsidiary company, is over three years with the scope of work including plant maintenance and repairs, shutdown planning and execution, project implementation and coordination, technical writing, work pack development and fabrication.
Gas is sent via a 502 kilometre pipeline from the Bayu-Undan field to the DLNG plant at Wickham Point, where it is converted into LNG for sale to Tokyo Electric and Tokyo Gas in Japan.
The Chief Executive Officer of Downer, Grant Fenn, said the contract expanded Downer’s long-term maintenance, turnaround and shutdown services to customers in the oil and gas industry.
