In May 2023, Downer Group and Beyond Blue renewed their major partnership for the third consecutive year. Downer was the Matched-Giving Partner for Beyond Blue’s 2023 flagship fundraising campaign, proudly matching donations from the community up to a total of $250,000.

This partnership has been at the heart of the campaign, motivating more than 3,000 donors to give, so that their donations can be matched, extending their support even further.

Downer’s generous contribution of $250,000 helped Beyond Blue raise a total of $810,000 this year – A fantastic result given the economic environment and ongoing cost-of-living crisis. 

All funds raised went towards the Beyond Blue Support Service, enabling Beyond Blue to continue to provide all people in Australia with vital and free mental health support.

In 2023, Downer staff directly contributed $6,570 towards the appeal.

Donations raised through the appeal will support 12,272 people when they contact the Beyond Blue Support Service.

Since 2021 Downer have contributed $750,000 to the Beyond Blue Support Service, directly helping fund more than 12,700 calls, web chats and emails to the Beyond Blue Support Service through its partnership with Beyond Blue.
