Downer and its partners launch Construction Sector Accord

Downer has joined the New Zealand Government and industry partners to launch the Construction Sector Accord.
The Accord is designed to strategically evolve the industry to address areas of concern in the construction sector.
Created to build a stronger New Zealand, the initiative aims to improve the procurement and quality of construction, ensure people are skilled and capable to deliver quality work, and build financial resilience across the sector.
Together we are working towards safe, healthy and durable housing, building and infrastructure to support the wellbeing of New Zealand communities.
The Accord establishes a set of value-based principles that we agree to uphold.
These are:
- Increase productivity
- Raise capability
- Improve resilience
- Restore confidence, pride and reputation.
