University placements for FedUni students

Following on from our expressions of interest in September, we’re pleased to announce six Downer funded industry placements for third-year Federation University Australia (FedUni) students.

Downer is committed to the development of regional skill and capability in line with our aim to attract, select, develop and retain the best people.

Congratulations to Sean Gottshcling, Sam Farbus, Bethany Jackson, Chantal Bickerdike, Lachlan MacKenzie, Ryleigh Coombes from FedUni who have been awarded these Victorian placements that will be delivered in our Infrastructure Services (IS) and Rail businesses.

This is an exciting initiative in partnership with FedUni in Ballarat to strengthen our knowledge, skills and capabilities.

Our FedUni placement program is part of Downer’s wider program of people initiatives currently underway in the business that ensures our continued commitment to having a diverse and inclusive workforce.

Pictured are the deserving FedUni students on their placement orientation day with their respective Downer supervisors who will be partnering with them on their placements that will cover Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Business/Accounting and Environmental Science disciplines.
