Downer's 2018 Sustainability Report

Downer has today published its 2018 Sustainability Report, which discloses sustainability-related performance for the financial year ended 30 June 2018 for the activities and businesses within the Downer Group (Downer EDI Limited), including Spotless.

The 2018 Sustainability Report embodies Downer’s approach to sustainability, including Zero Harm, which consists of the health and safety of our people, the environment, and the communities in which we operate.

Available as an interactive online report for the first time, and in PDF, the report summarises how Downer delivers sustainable returns while managing its material environment, social and governance (ESG) issues and performance over the last 12 months, whilst highlighting its focus for the future.

Head of Zero Harm, Julie Wills, said Downer is committed to reporting its sustainability performance annually.

“This year we have significantly improved the quality of our reporting by aligning to the Global Reporting Initiative’s (GRI) Standards to provide investors with comparable information relating to (ESG) performance. In addition, we report in alignment with the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals and the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD).
