RPQ joins the Downer Road Services team

Downer is pleased to announce the acquisition of RPQ Group, a company that provides a range of quality services in road construction and maintenance.

RPQ will become part of our Road Services business from 1 October 2016.

RPQ began its journey in 1984 with two staff members and one machine. Today they employ over 100 staff, own a fleet of over 100 road plant and vehicles and operate out of eight locations across Queensland and New South Wales.

“They were one of the first few companies in Australia to introduce road profiling technology and their capability includes the supply of asphalt, bitumen spray sealing, road milling and profiling, road maintenance, foam bitumen stabilisation, mobile asphalt production, mobile crushing and equipment hire,” said Dante Cremasco, Executive General Manager, Downer Road Services.

“RPQ is a recognised and well-respected brand in the geographies they operate in, and will continue to operate under their distinct and unique brand in Downer.

“They take great pride in the excellent relationships they have with customers and in the solutions they deliver through the passion of their people – an approach that has seen them successfully compete with larger ASX listed companies.
