Team Spirit at Lightning

Sunshine Coast Lightning defender Jacqui Russell took home the Team Spirit Award at the end of season awards function on Friday for her embodiment, on and off the court, of the Club’s values – passion, purpose, people and point of difference.

"Jacqui is someone who really thrives in a team environment and who brings out the best in those around her," Lightning head coach Noeline Taurua said.

"Nothing is ever too much trouble for her and she always shows up with a positive attitude, ready to work hard."

Group Head of Corporate Affairs and Investor Relations, Michael Sharp, presented the award to Jacqui and was at the event to celebrate the team’s second consecutive Premiership win.

Downer has been a Principal Partner of the Lightning for the past two years and will continue its sponsorship in 2019. It is part of Downer’s commitment to supporting the communities in which it operates.
