What is My Downer Apps? |
My Downer Apps is an easy, safe and secure way to access work-related information and perform tasks assigned to you digitally. |
Can anyone have a My Downer Apps account? |
All employees who do not have a Downer email will have a My Downer Apps account. You cannot have a Downer email account and a My Downer Apps account at the same time. |
How do I get a My Downer Apps account? |
Once you accept an offer with Downer, an account will be created for you. |
How do I create a My Downer Apps account? |
As soon as your account has been created, a welcome email will be sent to your personal email address, which you have provided to Downer, with instructions on how to set up your account. |
What if I have forgotten which personal email address I originally provided when setting up my My Downer Apps Account? |
For all technical problems, raise the issue with your Manager in the first instance. |
How do I access My Downer Apps account? |
Once you’ve set up your account, navigate to home.mydownerapps.com to sign in. Make sure that you save to favourites for future use. You can also access it from the Dashboard link on Okta Verifier once it is installed on your device. |
What is a Person Number? |
Your person number is your new employee number (for current employees from 04/12/2023). You can find your number in your welcome email. |
Do I need a PC to access My Downer Apps account? |
No, you can use any mobile device to set up and access your My Downer Apps account. |
Which browsers does My Downer Apps account work on? |
Edge, Firefox, Safari and Chrome. |
What is my username and password for My Downer Apps account? |
You can set your own password when you set up your account. Your username is your person number. You will need to sign in with your person number after you activate your account. |
Is my information safe in My Downer Apps? |
Yes, your information is secure. My Downer Apps offers multifactor authentication (MFA), meaning there are multiple steps to take before accessing your information. |
What do I do if I forget my password? |
There is a “forget password” option on the login screen that will allow you to reset your password. |
What do I do if I do not have a PC or a Smartphone? |
Speak to your manager in the first instance. You will be able to use a Downer device to set up your account. |
I would like to set up my account, but I do not have enough data? |
Speak to your manager in the first instance. You will be able to use a Downer device to set up your account. |
My password reset link fails, what do I do? |
For all technical problems, raise the issue with your manager in the first instance. |
What happens to My Downer Apps account if I get a Downer email account? |
Once your Downer email account is activated, your My Downer Apps account will be disabled, and you will no longer have access to it. |
What happens to My Downer Apps account when I leave Downer? |
As part of the offboarding journey with Downer, access to all systems - including My Downer Apps, will be disabled. |

What is HRCore? |
The application we will use to perform aspects of the Core People Processes. Downer’s internal name for Oracle HCM Cloud, particularly Core HR and Recruitment modules. |
What is HRCore used for? |
The application will be used by managers, employees and recruiters to perform aspects of Core People Processes and used alongside other applications by People Services. |
Who will have access to HRCore? |
All Downer and Spotless employees will have access to HRCore. This includes those who do not currently have a Downer email, account or device. |
What will I be able to use HRCore for? |
§ You will have visibility of your employment information § You will be able to view and update some personal information such as contact details, emergency contacts and tickets and licenses § You will have visibility of internal jobs in one place, and you can sign up to receive job alerts § Applying for internal jobs will be easier. |
How will I know that I have an action in HRCore that I need to complete? |
You will receive notifications via email if there is something you need to action relating to your employment. On your HRCore Dashboard will also be a notification of an outstanding item that need to be completed |
Can I update my address in HRCore? |
Yes, to view or update the Personal Details, under the 'Me' tab, click ‘Personal Information’ app and select 'Personal Details' tile. |
Will I be able to view my payment and assignment details in HRCore? |
Yes, to view your Employment Information, under the 'Me' tab, click <Personal Information> app and select 'My Compensation' tile. |
How can I see who is in my team? |
To view your Employment Information, under the 'My Team' tab, click <My Team>. |
How do I submit a new qualification certificate? |
'Me' tab, click ‘Personal Information’ app and select 'Document Records' tile and upload any relevant documentation. |
