Downer awarded capital works services for NSW Police

In November last year Downer was awarded a contract to deliver the Capital Works Program and Delivery Management Services across the NSW Police property portfolio of over 797 sites.

The contract is valued at approximately $1 billion over 10 years. Under the contract, Downer will establish a Program Management Office (PMO) that will manage all capital works programs for new police stations and training and education facilities, as well as upgrades to existing facilities, which will better support frontline police and their services to the community. 

The Chief Executive Officer of Downer, Grant Fenn, said Downer is a market leader in managing large and complex programs of capital works as well as whole of life asset management. 

“Downer’s best practice delivery management methodology provides high quality outcomes for our customers across all phases of a project,” Mr Fenn said. “We look forward to working closely with and supporting NSW Police to deliver this important program of work over the next decade.”
