Downer signs Alliance Agreement with Mitsubishi Power and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Power IDS Co

Downer is proud to announce the execution of a tri-partite agreement with Mitsubishi Power, Ltd. and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Power IDS Co., Ltd. (Mitsubishi Power Industries).
This strategic partnership positions Downer as the sole reseller and distributor in Australia and New Zealand of select Mitsubishi Power and Mitsubishi Power Industries equipment including conventional power plants and related components such as steam turbines, boilers, control systems and OEM boiler components for after service market. The agreement further appoints Downer as the exclusive agent in Australia and New Zealand for the delivery of periodic maintenance, forced outage services, on demand site work and delivery of associated spare parts in relation to that equipment.
The Alliance Agreement further strengthens the collaborative relationship between the three organisations, enabling close cooperation in the pursuit, tendering, and execution of OEM boiler and turbine projects across the region.
Murray Richards, Executive General Manager for Industrial & Power Generation at Downer, highlighted the importance of this milestone:

Downer has a long-standing relationship with Mitsubishi Power, with a history of delivering OEM services, overhauls, maintenance, and spare parts solutions via Downer’s DMH business.
This new agreement reaffirms Downer’s commitment to working with global leaders in heavy industry technology, securing partnerships that deliver value today and prepare for the future.
