Downer awarded more than $900 million in energy and utilities work across Australia and New Zealand
Downer has secured more than $900 million in contract renewals, extensions and new agreements across Australia and New Zealand, reinforcing its role as a trusted partner delivering essential water and energy services to communities.
The contracts span water, wastewater and electricity networks and include significant work with Watercare, Logan City Council, Invercargill City Council and Vector.
Chief Operating Officer Energy & Utilities, Luke Sullivan, said the wins reflect the strength of Downer’s customer relationships and the capability of its teams across Australia and New Zealand.
“These contract wins are a strong endorsement of our people, our capability and the trusted partnerships we’ve built with our customers over many years.
“They demonstrate the important role our teams play in helping communities access essential water and energy services every day.”
A major contract renewal with Watercare will see Downer continue delivering maintenance services across Auckland’s northern water and wastewater network, extending a partnership that has spanned more than a decade.
In Queensland, Downer will continue supporting Logan City Council through the Logan Water Infrastructure Program Alliance, helping deliver critical water and wastewater infrastructure for one of Australia’s fastest-growing regions.
Downer has also been awarded a new contract with Invercargill City Council to provide operations and maintenance services across its water, wastewater and stormwater networks.
Further strengthening its presence in New Zealand, Downer has been appointed to a five-year delivery services panel with Vector, supporting electrical capital works and network upgrades across Auckland.
Together, the contracts reinforce Downer’s position as one of Australia and New Zealand’s leading utility partners, helping customers maintain and strengthen the essential infrastructure that communities rely on every day.
