Downer secures Invercargill City Council Three Waters Network Operations & Maintenance and Minor Capital Works contract
We are delighted to share that we have secured a new contract with Invercargill City Council, commencing on 1 July 2027, to deliver reticulation operations and maintenance across its water, wastewater and stormwater networks.
The operations and maintenance component of the contract is valued at approximately NZD $45+ million over the contract term (5+5+5). In addition, capital renewal works valued at approximately NZD $75+ million may be delivered throughout the contract term, supporting the renewal, upgrade, and long-term resilience of critical infrastructure assets across the network.
The full scope of works includes:
- Drinking water network maintenance and repairs
- Wastewater network operations and emergency response
- Stormwater system inspection and maintenance
- Leak, blockage and fault repairs
- 24/7 emergency response services
- Asset inspections and condition monitoring
- Minor renewals and infrastructure upgrades
