TrainDNA is Downer’s digital asset management platform, designed to support clearer decisions across maintenance, asset performance and lifecycle planning. Now with added AI capability, TrainDNA is the singular platform to support your digital rail requirements.
Downer, in conjunction with our partner FMT, combines autonomous robotics, AI and digital asset intelligence to automate rail inspections. Through technologies such as Train Examination System (TRES) and Rail Facility Drones, operators can inspect rolling stock and infrastructure more safely, more consistently and with significantly richer data than traditional manual methods.

TRES (Train Examination System) is an autonomous inspection robot that uses LiDAR, lasers, optical sensors, AI and machine learning to inspect rollingstock components automatically. The likes of TRES and Rail Facility Drones (RFD), enable an increase in inspection data accuracy and increased inspections, all whilst site facilities incur no modifications – continuing BAU seamlessly.

Powered by Neuroverse, it connects engineering requirements, assurance evidence, operational documentation and real-time asset telemetry into a trusted digital thread spanning asset delivery, operations and maintenance.
