As a submariner with expertise in electronic warfare and the recipient of a Fleet Commander Silver Commendation, Jacob Wiremu brings valuable insight and a strong grasp of methodologies and digital tools to his role as a Mission Engineering Analyst.

Whether it’s delivering above-the-line professional services, managing critical infrastructure, or upgrading Defence precincts, the quality of our work is powered by a diverse team. Their broad experience across both military and civilian sectors brings depth, expertise, and a shared sense of purpose to every project.
Now serving as a Mission Engineering Analyst at Downer Professional Services in Canberra, Jacob chose to join Downer after transitioning from the Navy – drawn by the strong Defence heritage he shares with our proud veteran workforce.
He continues to serve the Navy as a reservist and is deeply committed to giving back through his volunteer work mentoring teens and supporting people experiencing homelessness.
