The Downer Standard

The Downer Standard (TDS) is Downer’s proprietary integrated management system that defines the way we work and deliver for our customers.
It is closely aligned to Downer’s purpose, promise and pillars and provides a structure for governing and sustaining core and BU-specific processes and capabilities such as asset management, customer planning & engagement, delivery management, finance, HR, IT, legal & insurance, plant & light vehicles, procurement, quality management, risk and assurance, and zero harm.
The Downer Standard
The Downer Standard is also accredited to other regulatory standards at a business unit level including:
- The Office of the Federal Safety Commissioner (OFSC)
- The Office of the National Rail Safety Regulator (ONRSR)
- Food Safety Management System (BSI HACCP & GMP), and
- Meets National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) requirements.
Quality principles
Downer’s 10 Quality Principles are an integral part of The Downer Standard. They provide a framework for quality management and continuous improvement. They enable Downer to achieve and maintain high standards of quality, meet, and exceed requirements, improve processes, enhance customer satisfaction, and drive overall success.
The Downer Standard is governed by more than 100 people from across the Downer Group and is continuously evolving and improving to deliver value to our people, our customers and our partners and suppliers.
