Downer has built a reputation in crane supply and operation over 30 years, expanding from an initial fleet of three cranes to 25 cranes and associated equipment.
Operating from two branches in Waikato and Auckland, Downer supplies and brokers cranes, hiabs, trucks, and transporters across New Zealand and the Pacific. Our diverse fleet covers everything from large 130-tonne cranes to compact 7-tonne city models, including rough terrain, all-terrain, and crawler cranes.
The team comprises both experienced and apprentice operators, all trained across various crane types, allowing us to provide responsive and tailored solutions to meet customer requirements. Strong relationships with crane hire companies throughout New Zealand further ensures access to a full range of equipment, including truck and hiab transport. We handle all safety documentation, operator certifications, and provides inductions and competency signoffs as needed.
