Large meter construction methodology

Our specialist large meter team is structured to deliver end‑to‑end project management for large meter (>80 mm) reconfigurations and replacements. We bring proven expertise to complex brownfield environments, ensuring works are planned, coordinated and delivered with confidence. Our approach is underpinned by a two‑phase methodology designed to de‑risk delivery.

1. Scoping – Detailed scoping ensures construction activities are fully planned, with consideration given to resourcing, underground asset identification, materials, traffic and customer impacts.
2. Construction – Construction is delivered using certified guideline drawings aligned to current standards or tailored to brownfield conditions. Our capability extends to main renewals, valve cut‑ins, property connection rebuilds, and above‑ and below‑ground works. Skilltech is also experienced in delivering works within transport-managed road corridors, ensuring compliance with all relevant authorities and standards.
