Mobile Mapper

Through a partnership with Road Science, high‑speed mobile mapping of road‑corridor assets is being delivered by Downer using the Leica Pegasus Two Ultimate—the only system of its kind in New Zealand.
With the Pegasus system, rich asset data can be captured quickly and safely, significantly reducing the time traditionally required in live traffic lanes. Thanks to this advanced technology, highly accurate geospatial data is collected at traffic speed, enabling up to 50 km of road to be surveyed in a single day from the safety of a vehicle.
From pavement condition to line marking, signs and barriers, a complete and accurate digital view of road‑corridor assets is generated in one pass, ready to be analysed to optimise road maintenance, asset management and infrastructure‑planning outcomes.
