Downer is the facilities management provider for two long-term Public Private Partnership (PPP) contracts, delivering integrated services across 20 public schools in New South Wales under a 35-year agreement.

These schools span metropolitan and regional areas including Western Sydney, the Central Coast, Illawarra, Newcastle, and Bathurst.

Across both contracts, Downer manages over 200 permanent and demountable buildings, covering more than 132,000m² of gross floor area and nearly 66 hectares of grounds. Services are delivered through a combined workforce of 125 full-time employees and approximately 90 Service Delivery Partners.

The scope includes comprehensive asset maintenance (planned, preventative, and reactive), security and safety services, energy and utilities management, cleaning, waste, janitorial and porterage, pest control, and demountable unit management. Downer also supports ICT infrastructure, hydrotherapy pool maintenance, and business continuity planning.

These contracts reflect Downer’s capability in delivering complex, multi-site education infrastructure services under fixed-price, lifecycle-based PPP models.
