In a major milestone for aviation safety, we are proud to be the sole Australasian contractor currently installing Engineered Materials Arrestor Systems (EMAS) in the region.

This cutting-edge technology, designed to decelerate aircraft safely in overrun situations, underscores our commitment to advancing infrastructure and staying ahead of evolving safety standards. 

EMAS beds are constructed with crushable cement blocks engineered to bring aircraft to a safe stop during runway overruns.  

Recognised as the gold standard in safety, this innovative solution has a flawless record worldwide, stopping 22 aircraft without incident. Already implemented at major international airports such as JFK International and London City, EMAS significantly enhances safety margins for operators and passengers alike. 

Our role in being the first contractor to install EMAS across Australasia highlights our dedication to delivering cutting-edge infrastructure solutions that prioritise safety, innovation, and excellence.
