The Kopaki Bridge replacement saw the construction of a new dual lane overbridge.
1500mm deep Super Ts were lifted into place using a 1200T crane, to protect Paritikona Stream from the environmental impact of the works. The new bridge replaced the old deteriorating timber bridge and improved safety and resiliency due to the increased traffic loading. Works were expertly planned, sequenced and delivered in challenging remote location and constrained working corridor next to a railway line.
