To complement our delivery of typical road rehabilitation treatments our solutions include reconstructions, stabilisation and pavement conditioning, pavement dig outs, asphaltic concrete surfacing and crack sealing. We offer proven expertise in implementing innovative rehabilitation approaches through our in-house pavement design capability.
An example of this is our delivery of the Tirau to Waiouru Rehabilitation program, one of New Zealand’s most ambitious road rehabilitation projects addressing significant pavement renewals and pothole repairs. This program showcases Downer’s ability to innovate in road rehabilitation to achieve significant value and quality outcomes. The accelerated program compressed five years of funding into an 18-month delivery program, spanning just two construction seasons – minimising disruption to the travelling public and maximising overall project outcomes.
