With a strong footprint across urban and regional areas, Downer is uniquely positioned to support a strong and resilient NSW supply chain.
The State Government is committed to supporting the growth and prosperity of the local supply chain within New South Wales, particularly in regional areas. And, as one of the last remaining sovereign Prime contractors, supporting a supply chain of more than 3,500 small-to medium enterprise service delivery partners, we stand ready to support this vision to boost domestic manufacturing in New South Wales.
Key contracts and projects
Waratah Trains
Designed and delivered 119 Waratah trains and providing through-life-support at the purpose-built Auburn Maintenance Centre.
NSW Government maintenance
Providing maintenance services to more than 45,000 buildings for the NSW Government– including hospitals, schools, TAFE campuses, ambulance stations, fire stations and social housing
Sydney roads
Maintaining and managing more than 600 kilometres of roads across Sydney, supported by strategically placed asphalt manufacturing and recycling plants, including our new state-of-the-art Sustainable Road Resource Centre in Rosehill.
Riverina Redevelopment Program
Delivering the Australian Defence Force’s Riverina Redevelopment Program, which involves the delivery of upgrades to accommodation and training facilities at the RAAF Base Wagga, Blamey Barracks (Kapooka), and the Albury Wodonga Military Area.
Essential maintenance services
Providing essential maintenance services throughout NSW to utility asset owners, including long term partnerships with Sydney Water, Transgrid, Ausgrid, nbn and Telstra.
Power station maintenance and shutdowns
Delivering maintenance and shutdowns for Australia’s largest power station – Origin’s Eraring power station – as well as Delta Electricity’s Vales Point power station and AGL’s Bayswater power station.
